As Americans, we often
want to shield the parts of our
country's history from our children.
The story of this book is a part of
history that we often left untold.
The author does a wonderful job of
bringing history to light and
introducing the topic of WWII
internment camps to children in a
gentle way. It is an inspiring,
true story of how one man made the
best of an awful situation during one
of our dark days of American history.
