The Swan Gondola

This is a magical fable with the feeling of tragedy. Other reviewers have pointed out the Wizard of Oz references, and these do indeed make the book a must for the lovers of the Baum classic. But it has a lot more to it. Romantic tragedy is at the core for all the fable like setting.  The book is really descriptive and sometimes too descriptive but I loved the entire book as a whole and the story kept you interested throughout the entire book.
