If you love Lincoln and the Civil War, pick this up. We see Lincoln as a man, not a monument, from the eyes of his two closest aides. I loved the little stories that you would never hear about except from aides.  The stories that we are told in this book most people don't get to see the other side of the story.  I love the Lincoln story and every aspect of it and this book makes it so much more interesting learning about the things the aides new and how things weren't as simple as we thought.
